Our Chosen Idea

Girls and boys in love - THE RUMBLE STRIPS

Our main concept is to create a music video suitable for all ages, it will be a light hearted and happy piece that will engage the audience, to a friendly song, that follows a tale of love, with a twist to the ending.

As a group we finally decided to combine some of our ideas together to create a music video with a variety of scenes, locations and activities. Our opening will show the lead singer with his guitar with closeups of the guitar to make the image look slightly obscured. Throughout the video the couple (which is the lead singer) will be doing lots of different activities, which will resemble laughter, happiness and love. They will look like an ordinary couple, but there is actually a twist in the tale. The video will show the lead singers experience of love with a girl as well as just showing the general public from all ages together and in love. The story line will relate to the song throughout, by having lots of varied shots and sub story lines. The music video will end with the lead singer waking up and finding out that all his experiences with the girl of his dreams ... were in-fact a dream.

Most of the video will be shot in daylight hours, on two locations. One at home, where the scenes such as, making cakes and brushing teeth etc can be shot, as this shows an intimate side to the couple when they are at home alone.
The second location will be around Cambridge town, we wanted to get shots of the couple trying on clothes in shops, and basically just having a laugh with one another .
Non of the shots will contain an explict content to the relationship, and there will be no confrontational scenes between the couple, as again this keeps a really feel-good nature to the video.

The use of camera angles in the video, will be kept fairly simple, and we will use the angle, which we feel best suits the activity the couple will be doing.
Such as if we were to have a scene with bikes, we would follow the couple from behind , or when they are making cakes we might use a birds eye point of view.
